  • This is quite a unique restaurant. It is 2 starred Michelin. It only sits 8 people. It is incredibly difficult to book. We must have had over a dozen dishes of raw and tempura food items. These dishes were very small. It was interesting.

  • I read the low-star reviews here and didn't really get it; this was an absolutely exquisite experience from start to finish. The chef and his sous were engaged and friendly throughout, even with limited English, and I tasted several local and seasonal Japanese ingredients I'd never had before that were mind-blowing. The people I sat next to were locals and repeat customers and we had a great conversation. I'm a foreigner (New Yorker, woman, traveling alone) so I just can't imagine what everyone else experienced was discrimination against foreigners. I thoroughly enjoyed my 2-hour lunch and would love to come back in a different season. Thank you to the team!

  • 2 stars Michelin tempura restaurant in quiet residential area in Kanazawa. Need reservation in advance. Wonderful omakase dinner experience. 8 seats at the counter. Staff were very polite and helpful. Chef did his best to explain the dishes. We had around 15 courses. The tempura was light, with the freshness of the seafood and vegetables shining through the very thin batter. I prefer the vegetables tempura actually surprisingly! I chose tendon (tempura on rice) to finish. Thank you.
